Freelance Business Support Pricing

Projects and Fractional-Tasks

Pricing here follows the same structure as the Services page. The Project-Scale Pricing table below applies to primary services — larger, clearly defined engagements like a full website build, a structured data analysis project, or a complete set of SOPs and safety manuals. The Fractional-Task Pricing table applies to Featured Services — smaller, quickly scoped tasks like a single spreadsheet cleanup, a form fix, or a one-page document update. For the full list of primary and featured services in each category, see the Services page.

Project-Scale Pricing

Larger, project-scale services — a full website build, a structured data analysis report, a set of SOPs or digital forms — start at a category-based minimum covering intake, prep, execution, and close-out, then scale from there based on full scope, timeline, and complexity. Request a custom quote after a short discovery conversation.

Category Project Service Project Minimum (USD) Pricing
Data & Research Data Analysis & Visualization · Database & Data Pipeline Setup · Research & Market Intelligence Projects $240 Custom quote above minimum
Systems Support Systems & Workflow Architecture · Knowledge Base & Document System Build · Cross-Platform Environment Setup (Windows/Linux) $480 Custom quote above minimum
Admin & Operations Operations & Reporting System Setup · Project & Assignment Coordination · Process Documentation & Workflow Mapping $300 Custom quote above minimum

Business Documents & Forms Business Document Development · Digital Form Systems & Automation · Proposal & Financing Document Support $360 Custom quote above minimum

Fractional-Task Pricing

Fractional-task pricing is organized around the same five service categories used on the main Services page: Data & Research, Systems Support, Admin & Operations, Web Development & Systems, and Business Documents & Forms. Each category keeps the same $60 USD hourly base rate, while starting prices differ based on the typical complexity, coordination, and technical risk of the smaller, clearly defined tasks in that category.

Category Hourly rate (USD) Starting price (USD) Description
Data & Research $60/hr From $60 Spreadsheet cleanup, simple research pulls, PDF-to-sheet conversion, contact list cleanup
Systems Support $60/hr From $120 Folder structure cleanup, SharePoint organization, Teams channel cleanup, workflow mapping
Admin & Operations $60/hr From $75 Action tracking, meeting notes cleanup, decision log updates, status reporting support
Web Development & Systems $60/hr From $120 Website text updates, WordPress maintenance tasks, layout cleanup, hosting coordination
Business Documents & Forms $60/hr From $90 SOP template setup, fillable PDF setup, form field mapping, document formatting cleanup

Fractional-task note

Each fractional-task category has its own starting price, which covers the first hour of work — including setup, review, and typical coordination for that category. Time beyond the first hour is billed in 15-minute increments at the standard $60 USD hourly rate ($15 per 15 minutes).

Pricing policy

  • Base hourly rate: $60 USD/hour
  • Time beyond each category’s starting price (which covers the first hour of work) is billed in 15-minute increments at the standard $60 USD hourly rate.
  • Fixed-scope work: starting prices apply to small, clearly defined tasks
  • Revisions: one revision is included for fixed-price work where the scope is clearly defined
  • Additional revisions or expanded scope: billed separately
  • Rush work: available at published turnaround multipliers where scheduling allows
  • Project-scale quotes are scoped individually rather than governed by the fractional-task minimum-increment and fixed-price rules above. Each category carries its own project minimum (see Project-Scale Pricing), covering intake, prep, execution, and close-out for the smallest scoped engagement. A short discovery conversation confirms full timeline, deliverables, and total pricing before work begins.

Third-party and recurring costs

Some assignments involve third-party costs that are separate from labor — domain registration, hosting, software licenses, or subscription tools required to complete the work. These are not included in the hourly or project-scale rates above.

Category

Typical third-party costs

Web Development & Systems
Domain registration, hosting/server plans, WordPress premium themes, WordPress plugins, SSL certificates
Systems Support
Paid software licenses for tools being configured or maintained
Admin & Operations
Subscription fees for project management or reporting tools, where a paid tier is required
Business Documents & Forms
E-signature platform fees, paid PDF or form-builder software licenses
Data & Research
Paid API access or data-source subscriptions, where required for the project

How these costs are handled

  • Client-paid (default): The client purchases and owns these accounts directly — domain registrar, hosting provider, or software license — and provides access as needed. Ownership and billing stay fully in the client’s hands.
  • Firefox Enterprises-managed (optional): For clients who’d rather not deal with renewals, logins, or vendor accounts, these can be purchased and maintained on the client’s behalf for a 30% service fee added to the vendor’s cost. Available on request and confirmed before any purchase is made.

What affects pricing

Pricing depends on how clearly the work is defined, whether access or setup is already in place, how many files or pages are involved, whether revisions are expected, and whether the request needs standard or rush turnaround.

Fractional-tasks that fit within a category’s first-hour starting price are the simplest to scope, while multi-step projects typically require a short discovery call to confirm total pricing before work begins.

Discovery and scoping

A short discovery call can remain free when it is limited to intake and fit. If the request requires planning, deeper review, technical assessment, or multi-step scoping, that time should be billed separately.

Discuss a service need or assignment

If you have a specific task, a small project, or recurring support needs, the next step is a short conversation. Share a brief outline of the work, and the reply can confirm fit, likely scope, and the best starting option.
